Addressing root causes

Empower families to break free from poverty!

Our commitment to each family and village is not a quick fix. Your consistent monthly donations ensure our local Christian trainers can return week after week, providing ongoing support and transforming lives with sustainable solutions.

It costs $444 to train, equip and coach an entire family, lifting them from extreme poverty to a life of freedom and abundance in Christ. This means that for $37 a month ($1.25 a day) you can make this possible. How many families will you empower today?

Our unique approach

Why give with FARM STEW?

FARM STEW’s unique approach combines the principles of sustainable agriculture with vital health education. Our curriculum is designed to address the root causes of poverty by empowering families with the knowledge they need to live healthy, self-sufficient lives.

By investing in these families, you’re not giving them a handout—you’re giving them a hand up, providing the knowledge, skills and tools they need to break the cycle of poverty for good.

"FARM STEW lives a gospel sermon every day!"

Mike McCabe

"When I studied FARM STEW’s approach and read the testimonies of those who were being impacted by this ministry, it seemed quite clear that there was a beautiful balance between the life here and the life to come. Regarding the “life here,” I’ve never seen a ministry that is set up to truly empower the people being helped to become self-sustaining. And it is not a hit and miss, short-term kind of help. You are empowering generations of families, lifting them from poverty, returning self-respect and dignity by showing them how to become productive citizens within their towns and villages. By teaching them how to grow and maintain gardens, they can experience a more vibrant life here and now. Regarding the “life to come,” through teaching and modeling on a daily basis, you are leading the people to the God who has given them eternal life.If I could summarize it in one phrase, FARM STEW lives a gospel sermon every day."

Stephen Yendrzeski

"Just as Jesus brought HOPE to people by meeting their physical needs during His 3 1/2 years of ministry, FARM STEW also brings HOPE to many people throughout the world today. Giving people the tools and support to grow and sustain a healthy food supply and have a constant source of clean water is life-changing in so many ways."

Rosie Nash

"Teaching people to "do" for themselves, rather than depend on someone else.  They can grow their own food; they can construct simple tippy taps and latrines to keep themselves well."

Robert Thomson

"From my perspective, the most life-giving thing that FARM STEW does for others is provide what is necessary for people to grow their own food and learn what is nutritious. There are so many things I like about FARM STEW’s work. I'll just name a few, they give young women dignity by providing reusable pads, they teach and train leadership skills, they provide water wells for drinking, gardening and sanitation. I’m also very impressed by the savings and loan operation. This helps organize  community and promote cooperation. and there is so much more. Fulfilling the great commission by providing an opportunity to tell and demonstrate to others the gospel of Christ Jesus.I thank you, Joy Kaufman, and all FARM STEW staff for being the conduit and with which I can provide help to the “least of these”

Frequently asked questions

We get asked these questions often.

What are recurring gifts?

Recurring gifts are ongoing monthly, quarterly, or annual contributions made automatically through your credit card or bank account. Any frequency is a blessing, but monthly giving is the most powerful way to help FARM STEW share God’s recipe for abundant life with families all year long.

Why is monthly and recurring giving so important?

Faithful monthly and annual gifts provide the steady support needed for FARM STEW trainers to teach life-changing skills—nutrition, sanitation, gardening, entrepreneurship, and more—in vulnerable communities. Reliable recurring support allows us to steward your gifts wisely, reduce administrative costs, and invest in long-term programs that help families overcome poverty and malnutrition while sharing the practical gospel.

Where can I learn more about the impact of my recurring gifts?

Thank you for your generosity! You can explore stories of transformed lives and communities on our website at our blog, and in our newsletters, where we share updates, testimonies, and impact reports highlighting what recurring donors make possible.

Can I start my own fundraising campaign for FARM STEW?

Yes! Many supporters choose to multiply their impact by creating a personal or team fundraising campaign. It’s a wonderful way to share FARM STEW’s mission with friends and family—whether for a birthday, special event, or simply because you want to help more families experience abundant life.
