Our financials

We believe all we have comes from God

At FARM STEW, we recognize our responsibility as faithful stewards of the resources God provides. We are committed to maintaining integrity and openness in our financial practices, following sound, Biblical standards to ensure the responsible use of all contributions.

We present needs to God's people, then trust the Holy Spirit to touch the hearts of those He calls to participate in meeting those needs.

Accountability and stewardship standards

  • Annual Audits: We contract with an independent public accounting firm to perform an annual audit of our finances, ensuring that our financial statements are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Every year to date these auditors have given FARM STEW the full endorsement of a clean audit.
  • Financial Transparency: Our financial statements and annual Form 990 are available here:
  • FARM STEW International Final Audit Reports
  • FARM STEW International 990s submitted to the IRS
  • Statement of Faith: We subscribe to a written Statement of Faith that clearly affirms our commitment to the Biblically informed Christian doctrine. Advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through our work is the core objective of our financial practices.
  • Governance: FARM STEW is governed by a responsible and engaged Board of Directors, all of whom are independent according to legal and accountability standards. The Board establishes policies, approves budgets, and reviews operational results, ministry impact, and the audit process.
  • Audit: We ensure that our Audit Committee reviews these documents before filing them with the IRS, and the Board receives a copy for full review prior to submission.
  • Wise Use of Contributions: Donations are applied faithfully and effectively in line with our mission to empower people with the knowledge, skills, and resources for healthy, abundant living. Fundraising appeals clearly specify the purposes and programs to which donations will be applied. The Board provides oversight to ensure that contributions are used for the purposes for which they are raised.
  • Project-Specific Contributions: When contributions are designated for specific projects, we ensure that they are applied accordingly. If more contributions are received than can be applied to a specific project, FARM STEW will direct the excess funds to similar pressing needs that align with our mission.
  • Conflict of Interest and Ethical Policies: FARM STEW maintains a Conflict of Interest Policy, Reportable Concerns Policy, Record Retention Policy, and Code of Ethics to guide our financial practices and operations.
  • Ethical Fundraising: We avoid high-pressure or deceptive fundraising tactics, respecting the privacy of our supporters. We do not sell, lease, or rent our mailing lists to third parties.
  • Financial Integrity: FARM STEW avoids all indebtedness that could hinder our mission. We fulfill our financial commitments to vendors and partners in a timely and responsible manner, upholding the cause of Christ through our work.
  • Commitment to Growth: We continually seek to improve our knowledge and understanding of best financial practices in the nonprofit sector. This ensures that each Board member upholds their fiduciary duty of care and that FARM STEW operates with excellence.

By adhering to these standards, FARM STEW honors the trust of its donors and glorifies God through the responsible stewardship of the resources He provides. Thank you for allowing your hard-earned resources to be used for God's glory and to bless His people.
